Living in Folsom, I check out a lot of Folsom’s Happy Hours. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order. Enjoy!
I can often be found at the bar with my computer here, getting work done in the afternoon. So, I’ve hit up a lot of happy hours here. Their happy hour menu consists of $4, $6, $8 and $10 items. Their food is delicious, so this is a great opportunity to taste some of their options at a more affordable price. Try the goat cheese fritters, the ahi & crispy rice cakes, or one of the flatbreads.
All appetizers are 1/2 off during Happy Hour. Select tacos are $1 off. You’ll also get $1 off beer, $2 off wine/margaritas/well drinks, and $3 off craft cocktails. Their guacamole is delicious, and they give you a fair amount to share. They have some pretty delicious craft cocktails.
The photo at the top of the post is a Dragonberry Mojito with fresh strawberries, strawberry puree, fresh mint, fresh lime juice, and club soda.
I used to go to the old Scott’s that was on the other side of the river, but the new(ish) Scott’s in Folsom feels like a much elevated Scott’s. First of all, they serve you yummy warm sourdough bread from Village Bakery in Davis, which is pretty darn delicious. I typically get their fresh Sashimi Trio.
This has to be one of the most affordable happy hours in town as far as food goes. It has increased substantially since 2019, but what hasn’t? Whenever I go there, I come out saying “Why don’t we do that more often?!”. A piece of thin slice pizza is $4.50, and their personal deep dish pizza is $8. Their beer and cocktails are relatively reasonable. Quicky, easy, casual.
Land Ocean New American Grill
Land Ocean offers a modern twist on American classics. During Happy Hour, you can indulge in their delicious appetizers and handcrafted cocktails. The bar gets packed, so go early to get seats. They have a fairly large happy hour menu – A great opportunity to taste some of their delicious food and drinks at a reasonable price. Some of my favorites are the Wellingtons, Grilled Artichoke, and Bacon-Jalapeño Mac & Cheese.
Citizen Vine is a must-visit for wine-lovers. Their Happy Hour includes $7 specials on select tapas and wines. Everything on their food menu is absolutely delicious, with fresh flavor pairings that always hit the mark.
Folsom Tap House
Folsom Tap House offers a wide selection of craft beers, delicious sliders, and friendly service. Happy Hour here is a local favorite, with discounted drinks and bites.
Their happy hour is from 3-6m Mon- Fri. Located on Glenn Street, they do have a patio area, although I’ve never sat there. Happy Hour is $1 off beers and well cocktails. They also have daily specials. Their meatball sliders are amazing.
